From 26 to 28 April 2023, UMDIS organized the Mushroom Harvesting School in Poland with participants from Poland, Bulgaria, and Morocco. The training, held on a working mushroom farm near Wolsztyn, was led by Tomasz and Anela Stanisławski, Poland’s leading experts in mushroom harvesting. The course combined theory with hands-on training, covering selective harvesting, quality standards, picker motivation, and organizational skills for supervisors and managers. Each participant received a certificate, and the cost of attendance was €700 per person.

The program, led by experienced trainers Tomasz Stanisławski and Anela, focused on practical harvesting skills, staff motivation, and selective picking techniques to increase yields. Participants highlighted the course as highly valuable, pointing out that many small details learned can significantly improve product quality and efficiency. Since its founding in 2008, the School has provided over 60 courses to about 300 growers and supervisors, continuing UMDIS’s long-standing tradition of professional training in the mushroom industry.

With more than 15 years of experience, Boiciuc demonstrated how to achieve maximum possible yields of high-quality mushrooms under various equipment and climate conditions. The course combined theory and practice, focusing on pinning, climate management, error correction, and practical solutions to common farm problems.
