This 3-day workshop will be conducted at a large mushroom farm in Italy near San Marino in English and Russian. The program is specifically designed for commercial mushroom farm growers. During the course, participants will learn about the key elements of mushroom cultivation technology (Agaricus mushroom), enabling high yields (up to 33 kg/m² from two flushes) with excellent product quality. At the host farm is the one of the biggest farms in Italy with weekly production more than 100t of mushrooms. Farms produces white and brown champignons, portabella and exotic mushrooms. The training is tailored for growers, farm managers, and harvesting managers of commercial mushroom farms.

Day 1

Monday, 28th April

Filling, Watering & Case Run

  • 9:00 – Meeting at the farm, opening, introduction, program
  • 9:30 – Farm walk
  • 10:15 – (Classroom) Filling the room. Presentation. Compost characteristics. Casing structure. Proper casing application. Actions after filling. Calcium. Supplements.
  • 11:15 – (Growing room) Discussing casing soil and compost.
  • 12:30 – (Canteen) Lunch
  • 13:00 – (Classroom) Watering. Case Run. Climate parameters during watering. How to prepare your casing and compost to good yields. Stop phase, mycelium recovery.
  • 14:30 – (Growing room) Case run phase. Discussion in growing rooms.
