On 12 November 2013, UMDIS Mushroom Information Agency together with Mycogen-Ukraine organized the seminar “Cultivating Button Mushrooms on Phase III Compost” in Kyiv. A second session was later held on 14 November in Odesa for the convenience of participants. The seminar gathered over 150 attendees free of charge, making it a significant industry event in Ukraine. The keynote presentation was delivered by Bart Drissen, Director of Mycosupport, a world-renowned consultant with more than 30 years of experience in mushroom cultivation. The program also included an analysis of the Ukrainian mushroom industry by Maksym Yenchenko and a presentation by Champion, a Polish company offering construction solutions for modern mushroom farms. The seminar provided practical insights into the transition to Phase III compost, highlighting its potential to lower production costs and improve mushroom quality.

On 27 February 2013, UMDIS Mushroom Information Agency held the seminar “Marketing and Sales of Mushrooms” within the framework of the Greenhouse Industry Exhibition. The event attracted over 150 participants, making it one of the most visited mushroom industry seminars in Ukraine in recent years. Attendees included mushroom growers, compost and casing suppliers, equipment providers, supermarket representatives, wholesalers, and processors. The program featured expert presentations on retail cooperation, branding, consumer research, packaging, organic certification, wholesale trade, and processing opportunities. The seminar provided mushroom producers with valuable practical knowledge to improve market strategies, strengthen brand identity, and increase competitiveness.
