The price of mushrooms from the farm in Kazakhstan now starts from 2 Euros per kilogram and reaches 2.6 Euros. In the supermarket chain mushrooms are sold at a price of 3.2 Euros to 3.7 Euros. The prices in spring were bigger – due to the exchange rate. Gleb Deriuga, a technologist at the “Frutegmilk” mushroom farm who has spent the last few months in Kazakhstan, shares the information. As stated in the report during the Exhibition-Conference in October Ukrainian Mushroom Days, most of mushrooms in Kazakhstan are produced on one large mushroom farm LLC “KazEcoFood”. The farm has been growing mushrooms for more than 12 years and positions itself as the largest mushroom farm in Central Asia. Works on own compost of Phase 3. Production volume – from 3 to 5 tons of mushrooms a day. White and brown mushrooms are grown.
According to Gleb Deriuga, there are also smaller mushroom farms in Kazakhstan – they grow mushrooms on imported compost, they have Phase 2. Those farms are located in Almaty, also in the north of Kazakhstan.
