“I was fortunate enough to be invited by Prof. Tan Qi, President of World Society for Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products and Prof. Zhang, President of ShangHai Edible Fungi Research Institute to promote the establishment of World Mushroom Day. It requires at least three members countries to submit proposal to the United Nation. Let’s hope it can progress smoothly and we may have World Mushroom Day soon!

Currently, China will be proposing, and I will be proposing to Malaysia government as well. As I know, some growers and researchers from other countries that joining the conference will be proposing to their government as well, but I am not sure what countries. Please spread around the message and for those who are interested in proposing World Mushroom Day to their government or country, please contact me”, – tells Boey Tze Zhou.

You can reach Boey by mail: boey@fungitech.holdings.
