GrowTime press release. 2023 years results

UMDIS publishes GrowTime press release. 2023 years results

Another year behind us. But before we go on to summarise the year 2023, we would like to thank all our customers, partners and colleagues for their presence, commitment and the opportunity to grow together…. Thanks to you, we are and continue to grow.

The last 12 months have been full of new experiences and hard work. Last year, GROWTIME’s productivity and sales volume increased significantly while maintaining a constant and irreplaceable staff. we owed this to our qualified staff and to the improvement and systematisation of internal processes in these technological ones. Our determination and efficiency strengthens our position in the market and helps to achieve shared success.

One of the successes of 2023 is the completion of the ‘SMART Touch’ weighing module, which took about a year to implement with testing and serial production.  Smart Touch is a weighing system with an informative character, improving the ergonomics and efficiency of the picker. It is self-contained and can be integrated into NEWTON and PASCAL picking trolleys – it requires no maintenance and does not need to be moved from trolley to trolley or loaded.  At the same time, while extending the control system of our equipments, we were able to implement, among other things, an energy recovery system, which we continue to improve in order to obtain higher energy yields. The energy recovery system recharges the batteries when the drives are braked (green energy is created).

In May, we had the opportunity to present our innovative solutions at the International Trade Fair ‘Mushroom Days’ in the Netherlands. These were very fruitful days. Interesting contacts, interesting people and their diverse opinions. Open to the suggestions and needs of our customers, we decided to expand our product range, which we had already presented in the Netherlands, and these were everyday products like workwear, insect lamps and consumable products like HDPE protective film for growing nets.

We often emphasise that one of our priorities is high quality and the pursuit of perfection in our products, which we create with heart and passion to ensure our customers’ safety, reliability and satisfaction in the long term.  Every component we use must comply with the relevant requirements and standards, and the designed solutions that we offer must increase the profitability of our customers’ businesses while keeping our prices competitive.

This is not easy to do nowadays, when the market is flooded with cheap goods from overseas and elsewhere of questionable quality.  What have we achieved? Customers are starting to understand more and more about the quality-to-price ratio of a product. At the turn of last year, we had the opportunity to stand in the ” ring” with a hydraulic picking trolley from another supplier, and in the ” jury” was a potential customer – Verdict ? signed a contract for Pascal hydraulic trolleys, which will start work in just a few weeks, at our new customer located near Siedlce in Poland . We guarantee with our brand name that a customer who has once bought our product and in particular our harvesting trolleys, will always come back to us during the next investment.

We all know that Poland is one of the largest producers of mushrooms. Up to about 330 000 tonnes of mushrooms are produced in Poland every year, and on average every third mushroom sold in the world comes from Poland.  Taking advantage of the country’s potential, the UMDIS Agency (represented by Inne Ustylovska and Maksym Yenchenko), of which we are a partner, organised a harvesting technology workshop in September 2023, courtesy of Mr and Mrs Sopiński and Mr Mirosław Jachimowicz, at which Growtime presented its harvesting trolleys (and other products). During the presentation, we had the opportunity to demonstrate their functionality designed to increase the profitability of mushroom farms, and it was also an opportunity to share mutual experiences. A remarkable event, which strengthened existing relationships and created valuable new contacts.

Despite the economic merry-go-round of the past year in Poland and around the world, we can confidently say that it was a good year. Expanded horizons, production continuity with a schedule closing in the second quarter of 2024, innovations implemented and ideas for the New Year already drawn up.

Full of enthusiasm, enthusiasm and new ideas that we will implement, we enter 2024 wishing all mushroom growers the highest yields and harvesting efficiency while using as many Growtime products as possible
