Mushroom prices in Turkey in May

UMDIS Mushroom Agency received prices from Turkey in May.

This country is one of those where mushroom business is growing. As UMDIS Mushroom Agency wrote a year ago – number of restaurants in Turkey start to add mushrooms to their dishes – as it helps to reduce the cost of the dish, comparing with adding just meat – preserving nutritional value.

In Turkey there are lots of small mushroom farms operating. They differ from the simplest ones to the modern ones.

The prices

In one supermarket

54.95 TL – 400 gr – 3.94 Euro/kg – white button mushrooms

In the other supermarket

36.5 TL – 300 gr – 3.48 Euro/kg – white button mushrooms
