Mushroom prices in Moldova in May

UMDIS Mushroom Agency came to the supermarket in Moldova to monitor prices on mushrooms in May.

Moldova still has more than 50% export of mushrooms from Ukraine. In Moldova operates up to ten mushroom farms – the production of them does not satisfy the domestic demand.

Prices

32.90 MDL – 400 gr – 4.29 Euro/kg – white button mushrooms (whole or sliced the same price)

48.90 MDL – 400 gr – 6.38 Euro/kg – oyster mushrooms.

Notable are two things.

The first is that the price for whole and sliced mushrooms are the same.

The second is that it is hard to find brown champignon mushrooms in Moldova – as no domestic mushroom producers grow them.
