UMDIS Mushroom Agency received mushroom prices from Germany from Sergey Honcharov, UMDIS` consultant on exotic mushroom production living in Germany. Aldi 2.29 Euro – 400 gr – 5.7 euro/kg – white button mushrooms 2.59 Euro – 400 gr -6.47 euro/kg – brown button mushrooms
Netto 2.29 Euro – 400 gr – 5.7 euro/kg – white button mushrooms 2.49 Euro – 400 gr – 6.23 euro/kg – brown button mushrooms (! 17.06 our agent have seen a discount price of 1.99 per this package 400gr – which means 4.98 euro/kg). 1.79 Euro – 200 gr – 8.95 euro/kg – eco brown mushrooms
What UMDIS wants to emphasise?
    1. The prices in different supermarkets in Germany are the same or nearly the same
    1. The prices are stable. From 13 till 27th they have not changed
    1. Supermarkets want the shoppers to try other more expensive varieties – so they make discounts for example making brown mushrooms be cheaper than white for a while.
    1. The quality of mushrooms can be better.
    1. The normal price for brown mushrooms is 9% more expensive than for white.
    1. The price for bio brown mushrooms is 44% more expensive than for usual brown.
