Large mushroom farm South Mill Champs bought World Fresh Produce, a global fresh produce sourcing organization

In late November South Mill Champs – one of the largest and most modern mushroom producers in North America and Canada, a vertically integrated grower and supplier of fresh mushrooms and functional mushroom foods – announces the acquisition of World Fresh Produce, a global fresh produce sourcing organization.

As Michael Richmond, Vice President of Sales in South Mill Champs tells UMDIS – the acquisition was made on 28th of November.

South Mill Champs with headquarter in mushroom capital of USA Kennett Square, Pennsylvania has growing and processing operations in British Columbia, Manitoba, Pennsylvania and Maryland. The company’s network encompasses highly efficient cold chain distribution centres across the United States including Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Kennett Square, New Orleans, Sacramento, and Winter Haven, Florida. This company was focused on mushrooms and functional mushroom foods as mushroom coffee etc.

World Fresh Produce`s headquarter is also situated in Pennsylvania. However, the company is not connected with mushrooms. World Fresh Produce is an innovative and diversified grower, importer, packer, shipper, and marketer of fresh produce. The main products of World Fresh Produce are citrus, apples, pears, and kiwifruits.
