As Sergey Honcharov, UMDIS` consultant on exotic mushroom production living in Germany tells – in the end of previous week in German supermarket Netto some kinds of cultivated and forest mushroooms were gone into discount.
Brown mushrooms with regular price 2.48 Euro per 400 gr were 1.89 Euro. So 4.73 Euro/kg.
At the same time price for white button mushrooms 400 gr package – 2.29 Euro. So 5.73 Euro/kg.
Hovewer some packages of white button mushrooms were offered with 50% discount.
The situation looked like it was a lower demand for mushrooms and the previous batch was not sold out till the next arrived – so the older packages were going with discount. In summer smaller demand for mushrooms is a usual thing.
3.49 Euro / 200 gram was the price for chantatella mushrooms. So 17.45 Euro/kg
