On June 9-11, 2023, the first International Mushroom Industry Innovation Expo was successfully held in Zibo, China.

UMDIS agency asked our friend Piotr Rubacha from Exotic Mushroom Centre (European distributor of Chinese log substrates) to write for our readers about the Exhibition, and show some photos.

This event is hosted by China Chamber of Commerce, Chinese Society of Mycology, and Shandong Qihe Biotechnology Co., Ltd- leader of Shiitake substrate production.

We, Exotic Mushroom Center, had an opportunity to take part in this event. Shandong Qihe Biotechnology Co., Ltd one of host of this event,, did invite people from all around a world, to explore Asian way of making mushrooms. We had opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with people that took part it this event. There was a lot of interesting lectures about making exotic mushrooms. But most important for all people was visiting substrate production at Shandong Qihe Biotechnology Co., They did not only show us all production sites (old and new ) but we had option to see laboratories and test chambers for new strains. We did compare quality of Shiitake mushrooms that is made in EU and China.

This was unique experience that will bring new quality to our farms…
