Meet Your Instructor
Edward is a specialist with over 30 years of experience in commercial mushroom production. He currently works at one of Spain’s largest mushroom enterprises — Champinter cooperative, known for cultivating exotic mushrooms alongside with button mushrooms. He is also the author of the professional book: “Changes in Morphology and Other Common Problems in Pleurotus”.
The farm focuses on oyster mushroom cultivation and the production of high-quality substrate, supporting professional growers with everything they need for success.
We recommend a convenient nearby hotel — most participants stay at Hotel Hetman in Siedlce or Hotel Hesperus. You will need to book and pay for your hotel separately.
Yes, the course is suitable for complete beginners. However, having some basic familiarity with mushroom cultivation or agriculture will help you absorb the material more easily.
The main language will be Polish. If participants require it, English, Spanish, and Ukrainian will also be used during the course. Presentations on screen will be shown in both Polish and English.
This course focuses exclusively on oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus). Other mushroom varieties will not be discussed.
No, this course is designed for growers and business owners, not for harvesting staff.
Yes. The course includes a combination of classroom theory and hands-on practice at the substrate facility and the mushroom farm.
Yes. Substrate formulation, preparation, and quality control are part of the program.
We expect around 15 participants, but the group may be larger depending on demand.
No. We will provide a printed course packet, notebook, pen, lab coat, and personal protective equipment.
Yes. A dedicated session on oyster mushroom farm economics will be led by the farm owner, Wojtek Szmulik.
Yes. You will receive a UMDIS certificate of completion. While not an academic diploma, our certificates are widely respected in the mushroom industry.
After you register and pay, we will send you an official invitation letter for visa purposes. If your visa is denied, 70% of your payment will be refunded.
Accommodation is not included. We will recommend a convenient nearby hotel — most participants stay at Hotel Hetman in Siedlce, which is close to the farm. You will need to book and pay for your hotel separately.
Yes. If you cancel your participation, you will receive a full refund (or 70% if a visa invitation was issued). If you attend and are not satisfied, we will refund your payment — no questions asked.
