Головну галузеву виставку в Європі і світі Дні Грибівництва в Нідерландах відмінили. Офіційне рішення було прийнято у п’ятницю, 15 квітня. Захід мав відбуватися 6-8 липня. Організатори прийняли таке рішення, відповідаючи на прохання експонентів. Звернення почали надходити до організаційного комітету в березні.
Однією з головних причин чому експоненти просили відмінити виставку — війна в Україні, також Covid-19 і обмеження в Китаї, США, підняття цін на ресурси.«Одна з причин — війна в Україні. Ми відмовилися брати участь, бо нема що святкувати», — коментував для УМДІС один з голландських експонентів — крупний постачальник .
Інша велика фірма нашої галузі в Польші, яка активно допомагає зараз Україні і мала бути експонентом Днів Грибівництва в Голландії, відзначила, що хоча має багато досягнень, реалізацій і нових продуктів в лінійці за останній рік і в компанії дуже чекали і готувалися до виставки як місця презентації цих здобутків — все ж зі свого боку зверталася до організаторів з проханням перенести або відмінити захід.
«Світ змінився з того моменту як в Україні почалася війна», — написав вчора УМДІС ще один експонент Днів Грибівництва в Голландії, який теж був експонентом попередніх Днів Грибівництва в Україні.
УМДІС дуже дякує за підтримку України компаніям нашої грибної галузі! І дякуємо організаторам Днів Грибівництва в Нідерландах! Ми теж організатори міжнародної виставки і знаємо як важко приймати рішення про відміну заходу. Але завдяки вам ще більше людей звертає увагу на те, що відбувається в Україні. І ми вдячні вам!

It has been since autumn 2020, now more than 1 1/2 years ago, that the first thoughts were formed for the next edition of the Mushroom Days.
Carefully scanning and step by step, the conviction grew among all involved that it would be possible to meet again during this trade fair.
In July 2021, the preparations were such that the event was scheduled for 30-31 March and 1 April 2022 and the interested participants could register. Commitment was also requested from the participants involved, with a go/nogo moment per 01-11-2021. The enthusiasm grew and the registrations came in quickly and numerous.
In October 2021, it was decided in consultation to move the event to 6, 7, and 8 July 2022. Vaccination campaigns against Covid-19 got underway and several months of extra time was expected to lift the last travel restrictions. Applications kept coming in and the floor plan of the exhibition area was filled in more and more. The preparations were in full swing and various additional activities were prepared by the participants.
At the end of March, the organization received a request from a number of exhibitors to postpone the fair planned for this year for various reasons, including the war in Ukraine. At the same time, the organization received signals from other exhibitors that the fair should continue. This brought the organization in a difficult position. At the beginning of April of this year, the board of the Champignondagen Foundation, in consultation with the Mushroom Days Committee, made a decision, taking into account the interests of all parties involved. The board of the Champignondagen Foundation then decided to continue the preparations for the edition on 6, 7 and 8 July 2022. Because of the drama unfolding in Ukraine, it would probably be less exuberant than usual, but a further postponement of the Mushroom Days would not do justice to all the positive developments in the global mushroom industry, the desire of many (other) exhibitors and visitors to meet again after years on the Mushroom Days, the need for renewed knowledge exchange and the investments that have already been made. This was also communicated to the submitters of the request to postpone the Mushroom Days 2022. It was indicated that we would continue to monitor developments and if these developments gave reason to reconsider the position, we would come back to it.
Several cancellations have taken place, which has had a knock-on effect.
One cancellation after another still comes in. The number of cancellations, especially by the Dutch exhibitors, is now so large that, after weighing up interests, according to (the board of) the Champignondagen Foundation, the success of the Mushroom Days 2022 is therefore in danger. Without participants, the Mushroom Days cannot serve as a platform for meetings and knowledge exchange and the revenues no longer outweigh the costs. The board of the Champignondagen Foundation therefore has no choice but to cancel the Mushroom Days 2022 edition permanently.
We deeply regret this decision, but we want to clarify it in order to minimise further costs for all concerned. We will be looking into the financial consequences of this decision for all those involved in the coming period and hope to be able to inform you about it in the near future.
