Help the guy from our industry John Peeters!

Remember the great presentation about robots in mushroom growing that was made in 2018 by consultant and journalist John Peeters at the Ukrainian Mushroom Days? It was about the future of our industry – which is now gradually becoming real.

A horrible incident has happened to our friend John – on August 7, he fell off the waterfall from a height of 10 meters. Miraculously, John survived.

Having crushed his pelvis, damaged his knee and a lumbar vertebra, fractured five ribs, damaged a kidney and the ureter, suffered a collapsed lung and a severe concussion, he was taken by helicopter to hospital.

But he lives and even recently wrote on his Facebook page “I’ll be back !!”.

His wife Thea is with him every minute. The main two desires of the family now are for John to get better and to be at home in Holland. If you can help financially, please do it. If you have the opportunity to help in some other way, write to his friends (also from the mushroom industry): roel@mushroombusiness.com or mark.den.ouden@mushroomoffice.com.
